Would you care for the black oil sunflower seeds grabbed from the feeder? You’ll need to balance on your hind feet on the railing and perhaps fight off a bird or two. Or would you prefer dining more comfortably but perhaps less safe on our top step and sampling the skinless peanuts served in an old cat dish?

Or a messy eater. Or an obnoxious guest (sometimes they will bounce off of the side of the house if there’s nothing to eat). I still think they’re adorable. They will stop and listen to me when I talk to them. One got frightened and dropped a nut and started to run away. I told him/her it was okay, I wasn’t going to hurt him. He seemed to think about it and ran back to get his treat. Too funny.
